Lilith Speaks
Lilith Speaks…
“I am all women, and all that is hidden, marginalised, and suppressed in any gender.
I had the courage to eat of the sacred Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden and, through ecstasy and inner wisdom, I remembered the secrets of the ancients, and I reunited with my own divinity. I stepped through the gates of what was called ‘heaven’ – right here on Earth – and I re-emerged as God.
I was banished for thousands of years because I knew! I knew that my desirable, sensual, animal body, my words, and my thoughts were conduits for divine ecstatic creation. I was banished for my intuition and my wisdom, for speaking my truth, and for refusing to bow down to sexual slavery. I was banished for revealing their lies. They hid me, they demonised me, and they blamed me for all the pain and hurt that became the human experience.
I was the first woman – a hated example to you all. Their manipulation taught people to believe that their sensual and sexual body is the gateway to ‘hell’. They were taught to hide their wildness, passion, innate wisdom, and intuitive knowledge. They have been taught to hide their voice and truth behind a false half-reflection of themselves.
I cannot be silent any longer. I speak of ancient magick, rituals, and practices which will help you to free yourself from the physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, and sexual slavery that you have unwittingly consented to.
I speak not only to women but to people of all genders who have been unconsciously bullied into bowing down to outside control, taught to disbelieve their own inner wisdom, and forced to modify their behaviour in order to please others. Everyone suffers because of these thousands of years of religious manipulation.
To be divine is to be true.
To be true we must learn to be wild again, to un-domesticate ourselves, to let go of all fear and self-hatred, and to uncover our true resonance with All that is.
You are beautiful, wise, and knowledgeable. You are capable of more than you could ever imagine, and you can be free to express your truth without apology. It is time to stand up, step into your body, and roar your wild song into being!
I worship you as the embodied divine being that you truly are”
According to very ancient myths, before the better known story of the Garden of Eden, Lilith was the first woman in the Garden of Eden, she was created by Divine Spirit, alongside Adam, as a reflection of the the Creatrix who was both male and female.
As monotheist religion took hold, later myths were created. In these myths Lilith was banished and turned into a demon for recognising that she was equal to Adam and refusing to be his slave. She was the first feminist, and she was punished severely as an example to other women who hoped for equality within the male-centric religions.
But Lilith came back in the guise of the snake. She brought fruits from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge (knowing that they would bring wisdom and therefore freedom). She gave them to Eve (Adam’s new wife and ‘property’) and Eve shared them with Adam. When the intoxicating fruit was eaten they recognised the power and sensuality of their own bodies and, through this, they learned that they too were capable of creating life. They also experienced the pleasurable ecstatic states which led to even deeper knowledge.
All women, have been continually punished for this ‘original sin’ for many thousands of years. Religious leaders know that sex and spirituality are intrinsically linked. This myth, which demonises both women and sexuality, was created in order to create suspicion, ridicule, and disempowerment around women and to keep all people frightened of their own pleasure and therefore their own power as creators.
